Both ACEM and RACP only recognise training completed at an accredited site.
Sites are delineated by role (Major Referral, Urban District or Rural/Regional base) and accredited for 6, 12, 18 or 24 months (dependent on a range of clinical and non-clinical factors).
Whilst accreditation is determined by the college of each individual speciality, it is recognised across colleges. For example, ACEM PEM trainees looking to complete their General Paediatric time need to refer to the RACP accreditation list.
